Four Signs of a Positive Nursing Home Environment
By Justice For Our Parents
The holidays are a wonderful time of year to visit with and check in on your aging loved ones in nursing homes. In between all the merriment and cheer, be vigilant and look for signs of happiness and joy, but also for signs of potential neglect or abuse. Unfortunately, one in six older adults worldwide faces elder abuse. Here are four signs of a positive nursing home environment:
- The facility is clean and neat with home-like décor.
- The staff is welcoming during daytime and after hours, even if you don’t call head to announce your visit.
- The staff is helpful and caring.
- There is a good staff to resident ratio.
If you don’t see these positive signs and begin to suspect mistreatment, please know our compassionate attorneys are here to help. Contact us for a free consultation at www.j4op.com/contact or call 1-833-JUST-LAW.
