The Older Americans Act (OAA) has been the cornerstone of support for seniors since 1965, funding critical programs like meals-on-wheels, caregiver support, health services, and elder abuse prevention.

Now, the 119th Congress is working to reauthorize and update the OAA —prioritizing:

• Expanding home and community-based services to help seniors live independently
• Strengthening protections against elder abuse and exploitation
• Increasing support for caregivers and family members
• Enhancing access to transportation and nutrition programs
