World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: Notice. Document. Speak Up.
By Justice For Our Parents
Los Angeles Elder Care Facilities

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is a reminder that elder abuse often begins with small warning signs.
With years of legal advocacy for the elderly, we recommend keeping a close eye on things like:
- Sudden changes in an elder’s behavior
- Unexplained injuries
- Poor hygiene or unsafe conditions
If something feels off, start documenting and asking questions early. You don’t need to wait for a crisis to act. Awareness is one of the strongest tools we have to protect vulnerable seniors.
